This course, in particular the organizational skill of CATÓLICA-LISBON that allowed its successful conclusion in a much-unexpected context, contributed to my will to attend other formations also promoted by CATÓLICA-LISBON.

As a private practice lawyer for almost 40 years, Universidade Católica has always been my “safe haven” for required Continuous Education, to both update and acquire knowledge in the new areas of Law, this was the case for the seminars and conferences, for the “European Studies” (1985), Labour Code (2002) and Corporate Law (2006). Given the needs that arose from the “General Data Protection Regulations”, I confidently and found at Católica Lisbon Bussiness & Economics the know-how, with the desired quality and innovation.

The RGPD Program from Universidade Católica Portuguesa, allowed me to strengthen my knowledge and develop skill along with other DPOs. We all had similar challenges, but different professional experiences. Motivated by the group work we did, under the teachers and guest speakers’ guidelines, we concluded that I would never have known or learned without this formation.

Recommend! While in charge of the data protection I met my peers in other companies, matched concepts and conformities to protect the personal data.

I chose Universidade Católica Portuguesa with the aim to deepen my knowledge regarding data protection. This decision was based on the program’s practical view and business orientation, in the effective experience of the faculty members and in the applicability of the program curriculum to reality. One of the most enriching gains after the completion of the program is the possibility to discuss and keep in touch with other colleagues in the area. It was, without a doubt, an added value given my job as Data Protection Officer.

Given my role as Compliance Business Partner in GDPR in a big organization, where I have over 4 million clients, I felt the need to consolidate my knowledge in this area with a specialized education program. The complexity of the specific legislation and the consequences of not complying, both at the financial and reputational levels, demanded it. Therefore, it was with high expectations that I enrolled in the General Data Protection Regulation Program, returning to Universidade Católica Portuguesa, the institute of reference where I had previously completed the Lisbon MBA degree in 2017. The fact that my academic background did not include Law may have led to some initial discomfort regarding the possibility of the program having an excessively theoretical approach for my daily requirements. However, the contents and, most importantly, the Faculty’s approach resulted in a very balanced program, with an adequate theoretical part, and the respective practical application. Currently, I feel so much more prepared to face the General Data Protection Regulation challenges.

After having attended numerous training sessions about RGPD, I could not resist enrolling in the first edition of the General Data Protection Regulation Program. The issues addressed and the faculty were decisive for this decision. This course exceeded my expectations. It is a multidisciplinary program, suitable for different grassroots formations (Legal, IT, Marketing, HR), in which the sharing of knowledge and experiences are extremely useful for all who work or intend to work in this area. It has a very important practical side, achieved in a group work, with the support of the coordinators of the program, which allowed me to apply the knowledge to concrete and truthful cases. Finally, the support materials provided are an invaluable help for my day-to-day work.
I recommend this program to all who need or want to know more about personal data protection. I congratulate the Universidade Católica for this amazing program.

RGPD Program resulted in personal and professional development along with a steady sharing of knowledge and experiences between participants and lecturers. 

Throughout the course it was possible to solidify knowledge and mostly get a general view on Data Protection, as well as on the several aspects that RGPD can be on.
 
The course’s practical structure was extremely important to boost concepts and raise awareness in the lecturers for their relationship to other related area, as in data protection safety, as in marketing activities or other themes that appear daily in the several fields.
 
It was without doubt an excellent investment!

This was my first experience at Universidade Católica Portuguesa, and in terms of welcoming reception, organization and logistics, I must say it excelled (for excellence). Regarding the GDPR 5 program, I highlight the Faculty’s quality, and the capability of attaining, in most modules, both theory and practical domains. Additionally, I highlight the availability of technical documentation, extremely useful to all those who work in this area. Finally, and most importantly, the greatest advantage is the exchange of experiences among all participants and the networking that arises from it. If you indulge me, I’d like to suggest an improvement, which is the inclusion of the theme in Public Administration.

The diverse, wide, and pragmatic way that the program was developed, allowed me to build new mindsets and ways to address the topic of personal data protection, not to mention that contributed to consolidate and learn. Along with program’s high quality, it increased the environment between teachers and students and the creation of a valuable networking, which turned out to be one of the best trainings I ever had.

Upon a background and career always connected to Information Technologies, participate in the RGPD program of Catholic University of Portugal, might be more than just learning. It was, without doubt, a plus; not only for the approach of all the themes related to data protection but also for the fact that they are being lectured by a teaching staff of excellence and they hold top positions in our business and institutional panorama.
 
I had the privilege to count on the contribution of people who shared their wide experience in such important and current matters; being kept the common theme of the RGDP at the organizations.
 
Themes such as Cybersecurity, the Law, Information Systems and Technologies, and even the privacy in the USA, offered a wide vision of the multidisciplinary approach, which this program provides and has been in my mind before my choice.
 
In the end, this program exceeds my expectations by a lot, since its focus is on the diverse components of data protection as a whole, offering a practical and dynamic vision of what are the roles of the DPO.
 
My appreciation for Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics for its offer so rich and so different at the level of this executives program, which deserves my firm recommendation!

It’s safe to say that the data is the oil of our time and Artificial Intelligence the contemporary refinery.

My personal testimony, without the pretentiousness of originality, is that the Católica Executive Education in RGPD enhances what it is said about the data.

From the legal, technological, and risky perspective, it allows to deepen the essential knowledge about data protection in the national legal system and enables those who have the privilege of learning from their professors, to add knowledge to the analysis they will make on these types of topics.
