Católica Lisbon Forecasting Lab - NECEP was awarded the “#1 GDP Forecaster award” for Portugal by the forecasting panel of “Focus Economics" because it presented the most accurate macroeconomic forecasts for the 2017 Portuguese GDP.
NECEP, a unit of the Center for Applied Studies of CATÓLICA-LISBON, writes a syndicated quarterly newsletter, Folha Trimestral de Conjuntura, that includes short to medium term forecasts for the Portuguese and eurozone economies. For subscribers only NECEP also builds forecasting models for other important variables relevant to some Portuguese industries. NECEP relies only on secondary, publicly available, data sources and adheres to a very high standard of independence and timing when forecasts are made public.
