Carla Soares is an economist at the Economics and Research Department of the Banco de Portugal since 2007. Previously, she worked in the Market Operations Department of the Banco de Portugal and in the Market Operations Directorate of the ECB. Carla holds a PhD in Economics from Nova School of Business and Economics, a MSc in Monetary and Financial Economics from ISEG and a B.S. in Economics from ISCTE. Her research interests include monetary policy, macro-finance, financial markets and empirical banking.
