Associate Professor with Aggregation at Instituto Superior Técnico of Universidade de Lisboa and senior researcher at INESC-ID. He has a degree and a master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico and a PhD in Informatics from Faculdade de Ciências of Universidade de Lisboa. He has been involved in several research projects in the field of cybersecurity and distributed trust/Blockchain, among which the European projects QualiChain, MAFTIA, CRUTIAL, ReSIST, TCLOUDS, PCAS and SafeCloud stand out. He has more than 150 publications in magazines, conferences and workshops. He is co-author of the book “Segurança no Software”, 2nd edition of 2017. He is co-founder of a startup in the field of Blockchain, the Blockbird Ventures.
