Why study Health Management?
The Health sector is today multidisciplinary, complex, and expensive, and also the most important pillar of modern societies. The Health Services Management is more and more an area with a holistic approach that benefits, simultaneously, the participation of the academic world and business area. It is permanently updating and needs similarly the contributions of different health professionals.
Interns and young specialists must, along with their professional development, learn techniques of services management in which the behavior and quantitative dimensions are always present.
Within this framework, and in the context of professional challenges more and more unpredictable, the management training by means of an integrated program is the best way to each young doctor to cooperate in the development of the National Health System (both public and private).
CATÓLICA-LISBON, along with the prestige and educational experience Healthcare Management themes, in Portugal and in an international context, intends to respond to an ongoing request from medical practitioners at the beginning of their career with the YMLP (Young Medical Leaders Program).
Main Goal:
To identify and prepare young Doctors that might on a medium-term step into a position of leading and managing change in the healthcare systems they work in.
Young medicals - Interns and Specialists with up to 5 years of speciality.
